Hello world!

Greetings!  This is my first shot at blogging.  We’ll see what happens, won’t we?

I call this blog “The Unrepentant Scribe”.  When I figure out how to change things, the subhead will say “Reflections of an ‘old school’ journalist in a ‘new media’ world.”

My goal is simple: to hopefully say something needed and important about the best things about traditional media (editing, good writing, credibility, etc.), and my own hopes that they be reflected in the best of the new media.  And to have a place to talk about the things that I care about.
